Hello Yoga-Friends ~ Happy hot and steamy GratiTuesday. I do love this season of hot, humid. Yeah, I know, y’all think I been out too long in the sun; baked my brain. Perhaps. Truth is I am completely full up with gratitude to now live by the ocean and nearby my families – born and built.
Seeking meditations on gratitude for the summer season we return to the words of Jack Kornfield, Buddhist Monk and co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society. In his book, The Art of Forgiveness, Lovingkindness, and Peace, he writes, “Gratitude is a gracious acknowledgment of all that sustains us, a bow to our blessings, great and small, an appreciation of the moments of good fortune that sustain our life every day.” He begins this essay describing a common element between several spiritual practices: gratitude, which turns out to be the touchstone for joy and compassion. This piece also offers a guided meditation that begins with self and extends to all beings everywhere. For more of his “Meditation on Gratitude,” visit

As always, each Tuesday we invite one another to express one thing – in the comments field – for which you are grateful, and/or Share that sentiment as a post on your favorite social media site. It needn’t be lofty and can certainly reflect something we usually take for granted. I’ll go first… I AM so happy and grateful for beach days! Now your turn. I AM so happy and grateful now that/for: __________________________________ #laurelblossomyoga #omofficeyoga #corporateyoga #corporatewellness #yoga #privateyoga #reiki #meditation #om #gratitude #gratituesday #jackkornfield #insightmeditation
