GratiTuesday – May 28th

Hello Yoga-Friends ~ Happy GratiTuesday! Yesterday was Memorial Day, a national holiday here in the United States instituted for remembering and honoring the men and women who died while serving in the military. There are many ways to do this. To honor another’s service is to appreciate that service; or in this case, to honor their sacrifice we remember them in reverent gratitude through prayer, celebration, or through our own service. For myself, I am deeply honored to serve those who served through volunteer-teaching in the yoga program at the Bedford Massachusetts VA Hospital. GratiTuesday – May 14th

Hello Yoga-Friends ~ Happy GratiTuesday! Recently returned from a blissed-out weekend yoga retreat facilitated by my dear friend-teacher-mentor, Chandra Cantor, at Sky Meadow Retreat Center in Stannard, Vermont. I AM so full of gratitude; feels like I may burst! Beautiful location in the Northeast Kingdom; surrounded by forest, ringed by mountains, right up close to the sky. Kind, attentive, helpful staff and interns. Amazing freshly-picked and thoughtfully prepared vegetarian food from surrounding farm(s) and gardens. Animal friends to talk to; sheep and chickens and llamas – oh my! A perfectly lovely group of women attended; known and – now new – friends from all around the east coast. And, of course, all of Chandra’s yoga classes. The perfect balance of engaged activity and intentional solitude. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for a wonder-full yoga retreat weekend.
